Hey, everyone! I’m the chef of this here establishment. I know I don’t blog as much as these other freaks, er, I mean folks. Truth is I prefer a griddle to a keyboard, but I have some important news. We’ve got ourselves a brand spankin’ new menu here at the Burnt Toast Diner. And in a way, we’re going to be celebrating with a Grand Re-Opening!
That’s right, the Burnt Toast Diner is back in business, again. Technically we were never out of business. Yeah, there was that one murder and all, but the cops let us make waffles around the crime scene, so long as we promised not to step on any of the evidence. Good news is the investigation is all over and we’re kicking things off fresh with our Grand Re-Opening. And I want you all to be a part of it!
How can you get involved? Well, just stop by here and check out the great posts by our regulars. You never know who’ll show up. We had a time traveler all the way from Japan pay us a visit once! Yeah, Odessa is really becoming a cosmopolitan hub, and the Burnt Toast Diner is ready to be the seat of our town’s cultural expansion. Can you blog? I ask because we need more bloggers. Ever since that mysterious man in horned-rim glasses installed this computer doohickey, business has skyrocketed! People love our waffles, sure, but they also love hearing about our waffles from interesting folk like that heroin-addict painter or some white samurai that isn’t Tom Cruise.
